I’m an amateur photographer who started my journey in 2019 taking photographs for my son’s school. Since then I’ve found the love of seeing the world’s beauty around me and capturing it how I see it. I shoot primarily using my iPhone14 but have been learning how to properly use my Canon EOS 90D more recently.

The Galleria Trees sculpture in downtown Calgary were installed in 2000. Since it is difficult to grow trees in Calgary, it was decided that the ten sculptures comprised of two design types would take the form of stylized trees as conceived by the Architect.
69th CollectionWalking around Amsterdam I was snapping random shots and was fortunate to capture this lovely lady on an iconic Amsterdam bicycle. I’ve played with this shot a lot but the BNW version is my favourite.
68th CollectionThe wonderful red shutters of this building screamed to be displayed as a Color splash.
68th CollectionThe inside of the Calgary Central Library which opened in 2018. It was designed by American-Norwegian architecture firm Snøhetta and has won numerous awards for its design. It is currently one of the most photographed locations in Calgary .
66th Collection"Climb Mountains, not so the world can see you, but so you can see the world" - David McCullough Jr.
This was taken during a hike along the Burstall Pass Trail in Kananaskis, Alberta. It was a tough 13 hour hike with over 480 meters gain in elevation, but WOW the views at the top were so worth it!
The golden glow of the fire inside the teepee was so warm and inviting…both from the inside and outside .
65th CollectionThere’s something about old stone buildings that is so magnificent to photograph. The colours of the stones, the textures, the history. Who lived here once and what was their life like? If only the camera could go back in time to reveal the answers.
64th CollectionThe beautiful windmills at the Dutch town of Zaanse Schans. I fell in love with this wonderful place for the simplicity of the town, and that the whole place smelled of chocolate thanks to a nearby chocolate factory! Can’t wait to return one day.
64th CollectionThis is my dad’s restored 1933 Chev Pickup. We had it out for a drive and while going across a bridge I asked him to stop so I could capture it with the fall landscape behind. I love how the fall colors made the green of the truck really pop!
62nd CollectionThe Three Graces-Aglaia, Euphrosyne, and Thalia - are the daughters of Zeus and are the ancients who embody beauty, joy, and harmony. The statue was on display at the Vatican Museums and I loved the reflection caught in the doorway glass.
62nd CollectionMy family was on a rafting trip at the end of summer and this guy decided to catch a ride with us down the River. He didn’t seem bothered that I was right in his face with my camera capturing this photo.
61st CollectionSunflowers are my happy flower…I can’t help but smile when I see one. And to capture it with the sunrise as well just made me giddy.
61st CollectionOnly 2 % of the worlds population has naturally occurring green eyes and my son is one of those fortunate few. A recent photo of the day prompt “Eyes” challenged me to find a creative way to show off his emerald peepers and using the leaves to frame it brought out the beautiful green color.
60th CollectionThe local science museum recently hosted a travelling exhibit called “Luminarium”. Created by Alan Parkinson, Founder of Architects of Air, Luminarium is an 11,000 square-foot inflatable structure with 21 rooms, filled with vivid colours that reflect the sun’s natural light off curved walls all within a labyrinth of tunnels. The exhibit provided so many incredible photo opportunities it was hard to choose just 1 to submit.
60th Collection15 minutes outside of Calgary, Alberta is western Canada’s largest outdoor amusement park. My son and I had just spent a very fun day riding all the rides and eating way to much cotton candy when I captured our favourite ride bathed in evening sun and reflected on the pond. A perfect capture to end a perfect day!
59th CollectionGerbera Daisies are one of my favourite flowers growing in my garden this year so I’ve taken many photos to capture their beauty. While the full color version was beautiful, I decided to try a softer, black and white version for this challenge.
59th CollectionA perfect summer day in the beautiful mountain town of Canmore, Alberta provided so many wonderful photo opportunities. As a proud Albertan and Canadian this landscape with the Canadian chairs was too perfect to pass up.
59th CollectionOne of the best spots to watch the skill and agility of surfers on the Island of Maui is Ho’okipa Beach. Surfers flock to this beach for the incredible swells…and photographers flock here to capture them.
58th CollectionThe bravest thing you can be is yourself. We sew the seeds of love in our words and actions. Pride month may be over but the feeling and love lasts all year long.
