I shot photographs from when I was 6 years old. I played with Threepenny machines up to 18. Then I discovered the reflex camera (first an old Zenit E, then Olympus OM1, OM2). I discovered the black and white (the mythical Ilford), the dark room. From 20 years to 45 I snapped, developed and printed thousands of photos. Especially dance, theatre, portraits. Almost always black and white. When digital arrived I was very wary. Then, slowly, I discovered the advantages in the use of digital cameras and, sometimes, Photoshop. I'm not a pro but (I think) a good amateur and today, 68 years old, I'm still taking hundreds of photos with Olympus OM d – E-M 10 Mark III. I always love dance, theatre and portraits. But also the landscape, reportage and above all street photography. And now that I have the iPhone, sometimes with Hipstamatic app, I discovered a wonderful chance to take pictures whenever I want. Retired/ winner of over 600+ NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL Awards, started medium format on film winning many Awards and then Digital.I was one of the first Digital Photographers and Printers in the UK (social), Lecturing around the UK and Germany on digital photography. Worked for TV & Magazines M&S Fashion Shows (London Fashion week) I have covered over 1600 Weddings and in 2008 covering over 100 weddings a year allover the UK. Award Winning Printer and and produced large format printing. I love photography and moved to the iPhone many years ago because of health reasons I'm qualified with AMPA, ABIPP, ASWPP, QEP. Now 73 years old and retired I just use an iPhone. Its brilliant!

It can be said that all my awarded photos were actually created by complete coincidence :) They could also be called Photos with a story…

A few years ago, I became a passionated photographer more or less out of curiosity whether I’m capable and having an eye for photography. With my former IPhone XSMax I started taking the online courses at the IPhone Photography School in order to gain more knowledge about photography as well as to improve taking more interesting pictures. Meanwhile, I’m working with an IPhone 12Pro as well as with a DLSR Canon EOS6D. When I’m enjoying a nice walk, I prefer to taking pictures with my IPhone 12Pro. First of all I’m always carrying it with me and secondly it’s compact and very low-weighted. And finally, the quality of the iPhone camera is very good.

Finding Beauty Everywhere I am an Impressionist Photographer who loves to experiment with abstract and otherworldly images. I use a power wheelchair for mobility and can’t get to difficult locations, so I like to create my own worlds. I believe art is medicine. I do NOT use AI or Photoshop.

My name is Audrey Knafo , since i was a kid I remember myselfef watching at the photographies and asking myself what was the story behind the picture . Each details was important . The lights , the scène , the eyes , the Colors or the B&W Sometimes i had answers and sometimes I invented them . photography always was a huge source of imagination and inspiration to me. And It still is .

I have always enjoyed taking snapshots … with the iPhone that enjoyment has evolved. With the onset of the pandemic I discovered the iPhone Photo Academy where I have learnt to appreciate my surroundings and trying to improve my snapshots into more creative memories.

I love to take photos of any type as a hobby using iPhone.

Manuela Matos Monteiro is dedicated to photography since youth. She is photographer and also curator of several exhibitions and a Biennale of Photography in Portugal. She, with João Lafuente, is director of 3 galleries (since 2013), 4 spaces, MIRA Galleries: MIRA FORUM (photography), Espaço MIRA (contemporary art) and MIRA | artes performativas (performance and contemporary art). Have attended courses and workshops in the field of fine arts in general and photography in particular. She participated with their works in solo and group exhibitions. Her work has been recognized by awards achieved in several photo competitions as well as the publication of photographs in books and magazines.
