This is a wonderful walk to catch the sunset on an Autumn evening. I took this picture near the Second World War Liberation Monument, in Liberty State Park in Jersey City.
The Autumn Sun rises behind the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan, as seen from the Exchange Place Pier in Jersey City on a recent weekend. For once, the pier was empty of people.
This is my favorite walk on an early autumn morning. On this day I caught a man looking at Manhattan buildings shrouded in fog while walking his dog on the Hudson River walkway in Jersey city.

Yosemite National park from California, USA is internationally recognized and famous for its granite cliff, waterfalls, clear river streams, giant sequoia groves among others. The view from the valley is just one of the most breathtaking views you will find.
A stroll after dinner with some drizzle by the River Nairn along Harbour street on one autumn late afternoon. I thought it would be nice to put it in black and white for a better compliment of the shot.
Do you know what time it is? Crossing this bridge will be the best thing to do in the daytime on this Sundial bridge in Northern California.

Sirolo, Conero Riviera, San Michele beach. Before the tourists arrive you can still admire the compositions left the previous day. Small constructions of land art, without pretending to be...
The Adige river gathers the historic center of Verona in a bend. From Ponte Nuovo you have a nice glance: on the left the church of Sant'Anastasia, on the right on the hill surrounded by cypresses Castel San Pietro, in the center, small little, Ponte Pietra. The clouds of a splendid day in late summer are the outline.
There is nothing to do: you can no longer see the mists of the past, the ones that even in the city center prevented you from seeing a few meters away. Today, it will be due to the rise in temperatures, more mists than fogs in the center. However, they give magic to known landscapes. As in the Roman bridge Ponte Pietra.
Hard to get up at dawn in late summer, the sun still rises very early. But if you do it and you are by the sea on the Conero Riviera, with a little luck you can find this beautiful landscape.
Between Malga Lessinia and Castelberto, Lessinia Regional Park, trenches were dug among the ancient rocks during the First World War. Today they can be visited, with the silence and respect they deserve.
Contrada Cenise di Sotto, a group of beautifully restored ancient houses respecting what they were. With a small museum that reminds passers-by of the culture and work of those who lived in the past in those houses. To get there, take a small road that starts from Bosco Chiesanuova, about thirty kilometers from Verona. It is nice to go there in every season but it is with autumn that the colors literally leave you breathless.
The advantage of always having your smartphone with you is not in being reachable for a phone call but in being able to have a decent camera. So it can happen that you walk along the path along the walls of Verona at an hour when the setting sun gives lights and shadows on an old wall. And an emotion becomes photography.
Going around the street with the smartphone in your hands or in any case at hand is always an opportunity to transform an image into a photograph. And if the walk takes place in the most beautiful city in the world, Venice, the only problem is to have a spare battery, because the opportunities to take a photo are endless. Here we are in the area of the Ostello di Santa Fosca, Cannaregio, once a convent of the Church of the Servants of Mary. Of which some walls remain around a splendid courtyard.
Christmas in Venice means being able to find a shared Christmas tree in a small square in the Castello district, far from the tourist flow. The photo dates back to the end of December 2018. A memory that the current pandemic makes even clearer. A wish that everything can be as before as soon as possible.
The ancient defense walls surround Verona. Stratifications that start from the Roman era, cross that off the Scaligera lordship, arrive at the Austrian occupation. A few hundred meters from the crowded streets of the center, a splendid path crosses the Parco delle Mura.

Florence, Italy<br /> A very famous bridge: Ponte Vecchio, on the Arno river. The buildings on the bridge were once butcher shops, now they are goldsmith shops and their windows shine bright. Above the arches, in the center, you can see some of the windows of the Vasari Corridor, a secret passage that connects Palazzo Vecchio to Palazzo Pitti. During the Renaissance, Palazzo Vecchio was the center of the city government while Palazzo Pitti on the other side of the river was the home of the Medici family and the Vasari Corridor was used to pass from one to the other without being seen by the citizens.<br /> During the Second World War, the Vasari Corridor was used by the Resistance to bring information and material between the two banks of the river without the knowledge of the German Occupation Army.<br /> <br /> Firenze, Italia<br /> Uno ponte molto famoso: Ponte Vecchio, sul fiume Arno. Our Iceland vacation this year was on the brink for a long time. Because of Corona, it was not clear until the last minute if we would be able to start our trip. This picture shows one of the best moments of our trip, the Aurora Borealis is dancing in the sky for us. I will carry this night in my heart forever.

This capture has been taken during a road trip on the highway through Switzerland. It was a typical smartphone moment: First, follow your intuition. For a second no cars on the highway and the motive in front. One movement... Done!
During the beach walk in Ericeira / Portugal in October 2020 I had the opportunity to catch the stretch of a flying seagull. No doubt for me to name that picture "s t r e t c h". The image has been taken with an iPhone Xs + Hipstamatic.
“Purple sunset” has been taken this year on Halloween at Meco Beach - Atlantic Ocean in Portugal. Amazing colors, painted by nature.
It was a foggy December day in Nothern Germany. I try to capture that mood when I enter the forest with my dog. The picture was taken with an iPhone Xs.
This is a December sunrise in Lower Saxony / Germany. My first impression was it looks like smoke in the sky so I called that picture "Red Smoke".
When you suddenly got a brilliant idea it maybe feels like warm sunshine that brings the thaw in the wintertime. That is exactly what this capture means for me.
That winter landscape becomes special with the view of the couple walking hand in hand in the snow. It connects a warm feeling in an old surrounding.
Ice, snow and fog developed a very spooky atmosphere when I entered the forest. For me it seems like a lightened huge refrigerator connected to a black and white landscape.

Fazana is „the matter of my heart“. Whenever we are in Croatia, we have to at least stop there for a while and enjoy its charm.<br /> A small beautiful town with historic buildings and a magical atmosphere. I wanted to take a photo of my daughter so I could send it to my husband, but she ran away from the shot - and suddenly I saw the beauty in the background.
