In Venice the wonder is not only in the Palaces seen from outside but also in what you see from the Palaces. Here from Palazzo Donà-Brusa.
On a whim, I made a quick trip to a small town called Devon. It is on a major river and usually has pretty views in the fall. I decided to include the highway bridge as a strong architectural statement in contrast to the natural surroundings.
Venice, Rio de la Tetta. An old gondola moored next to the water gate of the legendary Libreria Acqua Alta.
A lucky moment. It was as if the clouds or the tree limbs were mimicking each other. Perfect against the rich blues of our Alberta skies.

Sitting along a Venice Canal I noticed this woman feeding the seagulls. They were all gathered around her but she was only interested in one at a time.
