This shot of Firehole Falls was taken on a snow coach tour of Yellowstone National Park the day after Christmas. I had only been to Yellowstone in the summer and it was a visual feast to see it in the winter!

“Cow Lick”
This cow in Mannlichen, Switzerland, was turned back on itself, licking its side. I liked the detail of the close crop, where you can even see flecks of grass on its tongue. The crop also make it ambiguous as to whether the cow is licking another cow or itself.

This shot was taken at the Croton Dam Spillway in New York after heavy rains. I admired the tree surviving in that spot when it must be subject to water flowing around it whenever storms occur.
