Eighteenth Collection
This was shot under the business bay bridge in Dubai right after the sunset during the blue hours. The Dubai Skyline looked amazing and the LED laser light show on the Burj Khalifa was the highlight of the evening.
Travel photography is one of my favorite things. While traveling it is always great, to capture a sunrise. The serenity, the stillness, the beauty. It is a great way to start the day, as well as a perfect way to capture something so beautiful in nature.
Glacier Perito Moreno located in the patagonia Argentina in the city of Calafate it is necessary to emphasize that it is the only glacier that recovers its size after the constant detachments
Norway, Lofoten Islands
The sun never rises high in February, and the color of the sunset remains in the air during all hours of the day. Wonder and emotion in a beautiful landscape.
Norvegia, Isole Lofoten
Il sole a febbraio non sale mai alto, e il colore del tramonto permane nell’aria durante tutte le ore del giorno. Meraviglia ed emozione in un paesaggio bellissimo.
“All doubt, despair, and fear become insignificant once the intention of life becomes love.” -Rumi
A breathtaking, California sunset sky over the calm waters of Lake Perris.
This shot was taken on a hike up to Waihe’e Falls near Kaneohe, Oahu. The last mile of the hike sees the steepest change in elevation which provides several smaller falls and beautiful scenery as the stream flows down the mountain.
I was awestruck by the Tokyo International Forum. My eyes didn’t know where to look and darted around the walls above. I was also a bit panicked about how I could possibly translate this building to paper (or screen). A photographer/mentor I was with said to walk the building first. No pictures, just walk and look. So that’s what I did. I felt relieved. By the time I got to the end of the building, I knew exactly the shots I wanted. It gave me a new perspective.
This trek was a life-changing experience and each shot was worth the visit ... this trek took around 2 hours and this was the spot we sat to relax and I saw this frame with this beautiful lake in between the trees. Although it was sunny, it was worth taking this shot.
Thank you, everyone, for selecting and encouraging this passion.
I cannot begin to say how blessed I am to live on the Salish Sea, where the Almighty blesses us with incredible sunsets. I was busily doing something else inside my apartment when a strong golden hue arose on the walls. I looked outside and gasped. James Bay has never looked prettier. I did nothing to saturate this color; this is REAL!
This was shot from the Palm Island Dubai early morning. Massive clouds were hanging over the Burj Alarab. The clouds on the top, while the sun rises, make the sight a delight. So I knew this is the right moment and soon after I captured this the rain poured down.
I took this photo on a hot summer day at Altona beach in Melbourne - Australia. While taking a walk on the pier I spotted a person standing in the water. With the sun setting in the background and light clouds minding their own business, I framed the photo to include this person's silhouette. I felt he had the whole beach to himself, can you spot him? It's easy to stand with the crowd, it takes courage to stand alone.
If it wasn’t for these two 4 legged beings along with my two sisters, nephew and mother - I wouldn’t be standing here today. They keep me grounded, focused and entertained. This was shot in Camber Sands, Kent and it resonates me with me... like the Desert misses the rain. It has this melancholy to it.
I love to take my little Bulldog „Butch“ on my Lost Places photo-adventures and he loves it too.
This shot was taken in a lost place in the middle of Genua.
It‘s been pretty easy to slide in and Butch had a blast and I thought he fits really good into this building so I took the shot.
The Miami skyline, another one of my favorite cityscapes. Even better when captured at during Golden Hour. Miami brings both favorites to life. The serenity of beach and ocean life, as well as a gorgeous city backdrop. Two beauties in one!
A bright rainbow over the autumn sea, on the coast of the trabucchi, Abruzzo, Italy
The trabucchi are buildings on stilts, protruding over the sea, to fish with large nets.
Once widely used, they are now often turned into restaurants or other accommodation facilities.
This shot was taken at Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park, Big Island, Hawaii. It is referred to as the “City of Refuge” and if you had broken ancient Hawaiian law you could find safety if you made it here. A beautiful place to visit.
The magnificent Tokyo Internatiinal Forum took my breath away. I didn’t know where to look, and my eyes didn’t stop moving! I was overwhelmed but didn’t know where to begin to start photographing it in a way that would translate the greatness of this building onto paper (or screen)! A photography mentor I was with at the time gave me this tip: walk the building first. No pictures, just walk in and look at it. When you’re done, go back and photograph it. I tried it. When I was done, I knew exactly what I wanted to shoot.
This was shot at the Jumeirah Fishing Harbour in Dubai. The mesmerizing sunset right behind the Yachts makes the whole ambiance looks so romantic and I just couldn’t resist myself from capturing this perfect moment of the day.
I live near one of the biggest malls in the world: West Edmonton Mall. I was walking the halls one day and espied this giant hoop (ring). I was entranced by the curves competing with the ceiling lines and, of course, the golden sheen. I looked at a straight-on shot, but it did nothing for me. I twisted and turned, tapped to find the correct exposure, and got this skewed shot. It felt right.
This was shot from the 42nd level of Shangrila Hotel Dubai at Sheikh Zayed Road. The sunset right behind the Burj Khalifa adds depth to the picture and beautiful lightings of the city make it look so electrifying.
I was in Atlanta at the beginning of the year, a stunning city where old meets new and each corner I turned I felt like I was observing a classic. It was also my First real taste of southern hospitality and boy this city did not let me down.
