It was truly a gift to come home from a gorgeous fall day, take a walk to the water and find the innocence of children playing. All while being able to capture this perfect moment in the final moments of a picture perfect, glowing fall sunset.

It is very rare in New York City to find a clean, empty Subway car, and when you do, it is usually not for a good reason! However, I commute before dawn a long way to get to work so I often ride the train a couple of stops, alone. That day, all the elements aligned and the perfect shot was there.
There’s no better way to start the day, than to catch a sunrise on the beach. Recently I was given the opportunity to do so over Bavaro Beach, which is located in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The glimmer of the sun beginning to peak through and shining down gave me the light and literally showed me it would be a bright day for sure!

Nothing says vacation mode more than this! Picture perfect sunshine, hammocks and total serenity. You can almost smell the coconut sunscreen in the air!
Nothing like a quiet Sunday morning in New York City...before the hustle and bustle of the day begins, it is so peaceful to begin the day with the calmness of a rather busy avenue.

It’s the end of a very long Winter...Spring is on the horizon.....a new season awaits. Even on the coldest day, the sunset on the beach will warm up my most chilling day.
This is what winter looks like in West Palm Beach Florida. Not your typical frosty toed, icicle laiden path that one visualizes when they hear the word “winter” indeed.

one late evening on the way back home I was passing this lonely leaf and the light play caught my eye. just a enough to stop and take a shot. what do you see in the shadow? a mountain, maybe a sail of the lonely ship at sea...
I love cloudy days. The drama in the sky adds so much character to the scene. The clouds hang low and it is a waiting game of when will they break loose and pour down with the rain.
When the fall is not quite ready to leave yet, but Mr Frost is making his mark in the early mornings by sprikling the colourful leaves with the frosting.
I went cross country skiing and the day started off gloomy and grey. We thought it will snow and were looking forward to get the snow fairytale experience in the forest. It rained instead and it instatnly froze on the trees. Instead of the snowy fairytale we were in the Ice Queen's realms.
The blossoms that will not bloom. Perfectly preserved by Mr Frost waiting for the spring to come and breathe life back into them.
A beatiful orthodox church in my hometown Vilnius. The gloomy day and the trees created a special atmosphere when I was passing by. I looked up and could not resist taking this shot.
This image says 'summer holidays' to me. The perfect blue skies and the ferris wheel are the things that are commonly found on the summer breaks in the south of Europe.
I love shooting flowers and decided to go for a walk at the nearby field. The new crops were coming in and in the sea of green I spotted a single poppy. The light was perfect and I could not resist snapping a shot of this beauty.
Wondering through the rice fields in Ubud area is one of the most relaxing things I've done. They have a special kind of calm and tranquility about them. I could not resist taking a picture that could at least remind me of their peace.
Spending time on the beach can be very relaxing, but that day I was getting restless. So I started wandering around and taking some photos. I loved the view of the boat, which at the time was hypnotically bobbing on the water. I ended up staying in this spot and just sat watching this boat being lulled by the waves.

A chance shot taken on my way to get pastries for friends that spent the night with us after a nice dinner.<br /> Living on Bainbridge Island there are many great sunrises and it’s easy to miss them, I caught this with about 5 minutes to spare.
This was a beautiful fall day and the colors were so like a watercolor on Eagle harbor, Bainbridge Island. I don’t do a lot of editing but this particular photo I edited a little more on my iPhone.

It was a beautiful day at the beach at the Port Townsend lighthouse, a perfect day for a beach picnic & cloud viewing. I climbed these rocks to get this shot of the lighthouse and after I got back to the beach I realized that I lost my wedding ring. Soon found -best ending.

This photo was taken in Devizes, completely random. I was out with my Nikon Camera taking pictures of the church when I sat down on the kirb to look through and download what I had taken to the iPad. Turned round and thought it would make a good shot. Took the shot with my iPhone as the camera had no memory card. Still today one of my favourite shots taken with the phone.

You may not end up where you thought you were going, but you will always end up where you are meant to be... A peaceful, Spring morning hike, along the Grape Avenue Trail and reservoir in Yucaipa, California.
The mysteries of the beautiful night sky deeply inspire me and fill my soul with inner peace. And although, I may know nothing with any certainty, the sight of stars will always make me dream.

This photo was taken during my annual ride with a few good friends. We study maps for months to find an ideal route through several states doing our best to avoid interstates at all costs. This was taken in southern Colorado on a beautiful July morning. I am grateful to see the beauty of areas that are often bypassed by the everyday traveler.
This shot was taken while walking around the lagoon at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, a favorite place to watch the sunset. I’ve always been a fan of reflections, especially in calm water.
This shot was taken at sunset in Lacon, Illinois. The bridge crosses the Illinois river and has been the star of many photos taken by a fellow photographer. The calm river was mirroring the sky and we sat there taking photos until the sun had completely settled out of sight. Thank you for sharing this spot @ travisguthmanphotography!
The west side of Oahu has been one of the best places to take photos of the sunset. I’ve been lucky enough to slow the pace of my day to watch this phenomenon regularly. Palm trees seem to make sunsets more enjoyable.
I was in Austin with family and friends and we try to do something semi-educational during our travels. We went to the Texas State Capital and found ourselves wandering around taking photos of everything for hours (even the door hinges are decorative). The details in the construction are amazing. If you’ve never been, stop by the next time you are in Austin.

I was walking on Sherbrooke street, in Montreal and I saw this model watching the city traffic. I wanted to show the opposition between immobilism and the movement of cars.
Fall in Montreal can be beautiful! On occasion, the rain allows to escape in another world. During these rainy days, getting out of comfort makes it possible to make beautiful discoveries.
Go to heaven, head up, head down. Rubbing with the clouds. In the infinite now accessible. Dream day and sleep at night. The location of this staircase is a secret...
Sometimes a known place can change completely. That's what happened in this evening. I was attending a music show at the Old Port of Montreal, when the sunset transformed the sky, magically, in minutes!

After spending most of the day on the road, my wife and I were told about hot springs in Spring Creek, Nevada. We turned down this highway, which I call the “Endless Highway” because we never did find the hot springs.
While I was hiking the East Glacier Trail in Juneau, Alaska I could here the sound of flowing water off in the distance. Shortly after stepping off the trail to investigate, I came across this water fall and small stream. I’ve named it “Tranquillity”.
As I was walking the docks in Juneau, Alaska I spotted this fishing vessel docked in Gastineau Channel. What caught my attention was the name “Harmony”. I felt the name at the time captured the moment I was having while in Juneau.
In the foreground is a Joshua Tree native to the Mohave Desert. In the background, between the two branches is a Saguaro Cacti native to the Sonoran Desert. You can find these two together in only one location in world, near Congress, AZ.

My favorite part of this photo is maybe unexpected. It’s how the lines nearly merge in the distant background, as if the two worlds sprouted forth from the same origin.
My partner, Ashley Warren (model), and I created a clothing brand, DJedi (@iamdjedi), for self-identified artists that are world changers. So here She is in freezing cold weather on a photo shoot with Me to create the artwork We would later use for marketing purposes. We tried several different positions, guitar angles, facial expressions and such during the shoot, but this one came out the favorite. The intensity of it captured the moment and the brand so well.
I’m really excited about this photo, not only because it captures two icons of Nashville, but especially because it was taken handheld as a Live iPhone photo and then changed to Long Exposure. And it still came out so well. I enjoy long exposure photography and use the Slow Shutter Cam app and a tripod often to take LE photos, but this was simply a Live Photo. I encourage other iPhoneography’s to give Live Photo’s a shot, literally.
This photo represents a style that I hope all iPhoneographers give a try ... Long Exposure. Long Exposure is made so easy on the iPhone and has endless creative possibilities! I personally use the Slow Shutter Cam app. I find it the most versatile. It has specific settings to create new and interesting LE photos. <br /> <br /> This particular photo is of the Parthenon at Centennial Park in Nashville, TN. It’s one of My favorite places to shoot. In this long exposure shot, I set the camera to Motion Blur, Blur Strength to Maximum, Shutter-Speed to 60s, and ISO to Auto.
