Fall bursting out in magnificent colors over Puget Sound ~ our view from our book club hosts deck.
“Puget Sound fall glory” - 2023
Near Sylvan Lake in our province of Alberta affords many photo opportunities, especially at sunset. But I had to chase this one to find a dramatic foreground subject. We found this ditch with its watery tree reflections down a gravel road. Perfect.
Moraine Lake, another angle, another view, another dream! Sitting here in the lap of nature was simple mesmerising!
Always looking up. On a visit to Bristol, this rather unassuming building spoke to me with its curvature and lines. Highlighted by the back and white.
📍Casa Batlló
- Casa Batlló was a family residence and we stepped into the creative brains of Antoni Gaudí. Such a genius architect from the 19th century! We were mind blown.
I always love to photograph old autos. This was captured at The Gold King Mine near Jerome, AZ, the USA.
To me, every building in Edinburg looks like a castle so capturing the glow of sunset just brought out the fantastic architectural details.
The rushing waters and rock face of the Canadian Shield at Burleigh Falls are the quintessential back drop for the paintings of the Group Of Seven. Adding to this, the colours of Fall completes the magnificence.

Visitor center at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. I loved the light and shadows as a young woman started to descend this stairway.
New York City - The Oculus
In the place where so many died, the transportation hub built by Santiago Calatrava has a clear statement: against death the light of a wing of a bird, maybe a seagull, maybe a nightingale… just a free wing flying towards the sun.
It looks like an old lady looking at you from behind a door. Instead, it is a splendid mural in Ciutadela, island of Menorca
The smell of the sea, the softness of the sunrise on Liberty Bay ~ captured with my iPhone 13
“Liberty Bay soft light sunrise” - 2023
Moraine Lake in all its glory. This is a photographer’s dream come true. An early morning walk to capture this view felt like a dream! The clouds were on my side too with that pattern!
Can you just picture the connections and conversations that have happened here, me too. A beautiful quaint shop front in Cheddar Gorge.

Red phone booths have always been fun to capture. These 2, side by side, gave the photo that extra symmetrical feel.
The colourful houses along Galway's Long Walk exude individuality and charm, giving the area a vibrant and diverse atmosphere.
The winding path through Rotary Park in Cobourg, Ontario leads the eye to the marina. The magnificent Canadian Red Maple trees were at their peak beauty.
“Is not this a true autumn day? Just the still melancholy that I love - that makes life and nature harmonize.” 🍂🍁
