Known as Chattanooga, Tennessee's first skyscraper, the James Building was constructed in 1906 and 1907 and is named after its developer, Charles E. James, Designed by Architect Reuben H Hunt in a Neoclassical style, the 128,817-square-foot building is 187 ft tall, has 12 floors and 4 elevators, and had one renovation in 1987. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Beautifully restored historic buildings near Georgia Avenue in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In the distance is the "Dome Building", which was originally used as the publishing location for The Chattanooga Times, a newspaper owned by Adolph S. Ochs. It served The Times until 1942 when the newspaper moved to new quarters. Today, the building has office tenants and houses several prominent attorney firms.

Founded in 1834, Rome, Georgia, U.S. is located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The city was developed on seven hills with the rivers running between them, a feature that inspired the early European-American settlers to name it for Rome, which was also built on seven hills. The American Rome developed in the antebellum period as a market and trading city due to its advantageous location on the rivers. This view overlooking the area was taken from the historic Myrtle Hill Cemetery. In the distance you can also see the famous "Clock Tower" built in 1871.

Opened in 1924, the Roosevelt Hotel located on Madison Avenue in New York City was named in honor of U.S. president Theodore Roosevelt. It was developed by the New York Central Railroad and the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad. The 19-story structure was designed by George B. Post & Son with an Italian Renaissance Revival-style facade. It is one of several large hotels developed around Grand Central Terminal as part of Terminal City.
