Fourteenth Collection
Iceland, Stoksnes
Black sand of ancient fire
Silence resounds among the peaks
knotted in the roar of the waves
The breath drown
in the sea that has become air
Earth's mood
yellow tufts of steppe
The sight strays
in the infinite being of not being
fleeting and curious footprints
of a contemporary time
forever impressed
in the archaic past
of this land.
Islanda, Stoksnes
Sabbia nera di antico fuoco
silenzio risuona fra i picchi
annodato nel fragore delle onde
Annega il respiro
nel mare divenuto d'aria
umore della terra
ciuffi gialli di steppa
Si perde lo sguardo
nell'infinito essere del non essere
Le orme labili e curiose
di un tempo contemporaneo
per sempre impresse
nell'arcaico passato
di questa terra.
A fall walk through Bloedel reserve. An amazing space created by the Bloedel who transformed a NW forest into curated gardens and beautiful landscapes.
The light that day was amazing and I was able to capture a minuscule amount of the reserves beauty.
“Curated Nature” 2018
Spending time in nature, is healing energy.
The stunning view on a beautiful fall morning hike up to Heart Rock Trail in Southern California.
We pulled over to get this shot in the early spring. The colors were changing rapidly in the sky and it was the time of year that the sun plummets to the earth during shorter days. The Illinois River was calm and glassy reflecting back the vibrant colors at the sky. Shortly after I got the shot, little waves came lapping at the shore as a barge was being pushed north up the river towards Chicago.
Colores otoñales del amanecer entre nieblas muy bajas en los campos de Madridejos en Toledo, espere que el sol hiciese su aparición en el horizonte para que quedase detrás del árbol para dar un toque especial a la imagen.
Wonderful to visit an area I used to work in in the 1980s. Covent Garden, such a beautiful part of London, overflowing with style and creativity. Let’s hope telephone boxes get to stay in London as thy are such a part of our culture.
I am so glad that my home town #madurai photo have been selected and it gives an encouragement to click more awesome photos in the coming days ....
Madurai Veeran (Tamil: மதுரை வீரன், lit. 'Warrior of Madurai', also known as Veeran) is a Tamil folk deity popular in southern Tamil Nadu, India. His name was derived as a result of his association with the city of Madurai as a protector of the city
Victoria, British Columbia inner harbour. This is normally a pretty place, but I think grey fog and muted lights made it spectacular.
I took this photo at the Tombs of The Kings in Cyprus whilst on holiday with my children. I haven't edited this image at all, mainly because I haven't done that module yet but also the light was magical and cast an almost biblical haze I thought. I am still very much a beginner and am completely thrilled to have had an image chosen for this collection. Thank you so so much IPA.
Rome, Basilica of Santa Maria sopra Minerva
Gospel concert in a splendid Basilica in Rome. In the joy of singing, in the raised arms, on the left, you can see the sculpture "Christ the Redeemer" by Michelangelo Buonarroti, built around 1520.

“You fall, you rise, you make mistakes, you live, you learn. You’re human, not perfect. You’ve been hurt, but you’re alive. Think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive! To breathe, to think, to enjoy, and to chase the things you love. Sometimes there is sadness in our journey, but there is also lots of beauty. We must keep putting one foot in front of the other even when we hurt, for we will never know what is waiting for us just around the bend.” - Unknown
We were walking through the newly remodeled International Marketplace in Waikiki. We stopped to watch people scurry from one shop to the next buying items that they would struggle to fit in their luggage for the trips home. This fixture caught my eye and I walked out and dropped to one knee aiming my iPhone skyward. A few people stopped to see what I was looking at that was picture worthy and quickly moved on. So many people were missing the beauty that was right above them.
Día de tormentas en las bonitas playas de un día de verano en Marina D´Or en Oropesa del Mar, la gente paseaba por los paseos habilitados a todo lo largo de la playa acompañados de sus paraguas para no perderse estos momentos y colores irrepetibles.
I shot this in Ibiza when I stopped for lunch at a beachside cafe. Glad to be in the shade I loved the reflections captured in my sunglasses of the shade net above.
This shot was captured on the return leg of a nearby hiking trail. I was racing the sun so I could finish the trail before dark. I rounded a corner and saw the sun peeking through the trees and had to stop and enjoy the moment. There were no other hikers on the trail that day. It was tranquil. Needless to say, I did not make it down before the sun.
The torrential daily rain storm washed the dusty vintage car and the oily street. Leaving nothing but vibrant reflections on the ground below .
