When you suddenly got a brilliant idea it maybe feels like warm sunshine that brings the thaw in the wintertime. That is exactly what this capture means for me.

This is a December sunrise in Lower Saxony / Germany. My first impression was it looks like smoke in the sky so I called that picture "Red Smoke".

It was a foggy December day in Nothern Germany. I try to capture that mood when I enter the forest with my dog. The picture was taken with an iPhone Xs.

“Purple sunset” has been taken this year on Halloween at Meco Beach - Atlantic Ocean in Portugal. Amazing colors, painted by nature.

During the beach walk in Ericeira / Portugal in October 2020 I had the opportunity to catch the stretch of a flying seagull. No doubt for me to name that picture "s t r e t c h". The image has been taken with an iPhone Xs + Hipstamatic.

This capture has been taken during a road trip on the highway through Switzerland. It was a typical smartphone moment: First, follow your intuition. For a second no cars on the highway and the motive in front. One movement... Done!

I called this capture: “Eau de Cologne”. It has been taken on a late evening in August at the Rhine shore of Cologne before the open-air concert of Chilly Gonzales. It was my first concert with a bigger audience since the german shut down in March 2020.

Summer sailing on a raw Baltic Sea on the deck of a Hallberg-Rassy. One hand was rowing the boat. The second was left to take that picture with my smartphone.

This picture has been taking during my daily walks with my dog to the lakes called “Annateiche” in Hannover. I tried to capture the evening mood in a black and white image and I used an iPhone Xs together with the Hipstamatic app.

To put my focus into the details of a dandelion I decided to take a black and white capture to express the fragility. After the post-processing, I realized it looks like a planet. So I named this photography "planet dandelion".

During quarantine in lower Saxony (Germany) daily walks with my dog are still allowed. So I decide to discover my area in a completely decelerate way. That was my key to find a new perspective of this windmill built in the year 1700. The picture was taken with an iPhone Xs and Hipstamatic.
